Zeta¹ Ret is a yellow dwarf much like our Sun in the constellation Reticulum 39.2 ly from Earth. Its surface is about 5,812 K, and it shines at 0.77× the Sun's brightness. At magnitude 5.5 it is bright enough to see with the naked eye; the light you see left it 39 years ago.
